What Maozigendri is doing?
Protection of Manas Tiger Reserve by direct involvement in joint patrolling, Day and
Night duty with Forest Department Personnel.
Build Temporary anti-poaching protection camps. (Earlier when there was no camps
inside the park).
Build and improve patrolling paths inside the Manas National Park.
Manage the issue of Man-Elephant/Human-Wildlife conflict and try to mitigate the
conflict.
Immediate Financial Assistance to the victimized families by wild animals.
Provide Uniform to the conservation volunteers.
Rescue stray/captive wild animals.
Provide remuneration & ration to the volunteers who are doing patrolling duty in
Manas.
Do awareness programmes among the people of fringe areas.
Free treatment facility to the conservation volunteers.
Provide financial assistance to helpless sick persons of the fringe areas.
Provide good hospitality to the wildlife lover ‘Ecotourist’.
Initiate anti-poaching training to the conservation volunteers and Ecotourism
training to the Ecotourism volunteers and Nature Guides.
Do and provide small level developmental schemes in the fringe areas such as
provision of drinking water facility, distribution of school bags to poor pupils and water
filters to schools, etc.
Demonstration of Bodo traditional cultural dance.
